Don't Know What To Title This, But It's About Nigerian Education:

"I always advice Nigerian based teachers to think and allow the students think outside the box. Life is not centered on text books, especially when the text books have not been updated for decades. Chemistry for example, the periodic table will soon be updated; more elements added, I hope they wouldn't delay in updating the textbooks when it has been approved by the inorganic chemistry division of Iupac. Also, the child is not wrong when he/she spells the following words this way:  enquiry /inquiry, favour/favor, colour/color, and etc. One is British English and the other is American English. My point is, you as a teacher have to be on top of things and feel free to explore outside your "region".  Another issue that is sad is,  the Nigerian educational system don't have a provision to evaluate foreign transcripts and exams, BUT THEY EXPECT OTHER COUNTRIES TO FULLY EVALUATE THEIR STUDENTS WHO TRAVEL ABROAD!  Hmm, still wondering when this issue will be added into the #CHANGE AGENDA! Or do they have inferiority complex???? I hope the following groups will read this:  #JAMB #WAEC #NECO #MINISTRYOFEDUCATION #NIGERIA " -  Iro
