If you own a property in Nigeria and you have tenants, you need to know how to treat your tenants and workers(Subsection A):
.) Notify every tenant before turning off the water, especially if you need to work on the property
.) Just because you are the landlord/owners of the property, doesn’t give you the power make loud noise on the property
.) Tenants have rights too
.) Your job is to make the place comfortable for your tenants
.) If you have an agent or property manager, they should care for the property and handle repairs and etc. Their job shouldn't be to collect money alone.
.) Every tenant has the right to have a copy of their tenancy agreement
.) Your gate men or security personnel should only do the work they were hired to do. If you need more work done, hire more people or compensate them more financially or otherwise. That's someone's father and someone's son. God is watching you. Remember, your generation is still growing.
.) All this is common sense unless you have too much ego and pride.
.) Wait for sub section B of this enlightenment movement.
